Education and Experience
Required:
- MS or Ph.D. Degree in Biomedical Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Pharmacometrics, Bioinformatics, or a related quantitative field
Desirable:
- > 2 years of postdoctoral experience (academia and / or industry) with a proven track record within the areas mentioned above
- Published peer-reviewed articles
- Direct experience with quantitative analytics in biomedical applications
- Familiarity with the drug discovery and / or development process
- Previous experience in mechanistic modeling (systems biology or systems pharmacology)
- Experience working in a cross-functional matrix setting
Technical Skills
Required:
- Strong proficiency with a script-able modeling and simulation language (eg MATLAB, R)
- Advanced understanding of mathematics, differential equations, and dynamic systems
- Fluency in English (oral and written)
Desirable:
- Advanced expertise with domain-specific modeling software (e.g. NONMEM or MONOLIX
- Experience with version control tools (SVN or git)
- A strong understanding of statistical analysis of longitudinal, landmark and repeated-measures, continuous or categorical data, within a multi-level hierarchy
Non-technical Skills
- Excellent written communication skills

- Interested in learning more about modeling and simulation approaches in the Pharma Industry and/or in contributing to the development of cutting-edge software tools that aim at facilitating the modeling and simulation work
- Highly self motivated, goal focused, creative, and a good team player
- Good knowledge in mathematics, differential equations, simulation, modeling
- Background in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related quantitative field
- Good scripting ability in MATLAB or R (for modeling internships)
- Good software development skills (for software internships)
